Carlos C. Contreras Ibáñez holds a PhD in social psychology from the Faculty of Psychology of the UNAM, with studies in philosophy of science and experimental, socio-cognitive and situational orientation. Since 1997 he has been a research professor in the Department of Sociology. He has taught in the postgraduate program in economics at UAM-X, ColMex and ASH Berlin. His research interests are socio-cognitive intergroup processes, evolution of cooperation and competition, social psychology of politics and health.
